I’m contemplating the idea of a jubilee GMT, never had the opportunity to try one out at my AD and probably never will, unless a nuke war will compete against the current pandemic. So the best case scenario would be to get a call from my AD and face the decission on spot, with no chances to put it on the wrist before.

Just used the thinner spring bars that came with the bracelet. You may want to consider running a file (or Dremel) over the end links and remove about half a mil. You'll find the full size spring bars fit better and you'll avoid rubbing the case and getting that ring around the links that are already starting to form.
