This is not a fragrance to be purchased blind. Better to try out M7 Oud Absolu and if you like it, look further into M7. What would you say smells closer to original, vintage M7: vintage M7 Fresh or regular, current M7 Oud Absolu? The new formula of M7 seems more woodier for me and less sweet i think. I have an impression that they changed something in the musk and amber that supported the oud note at the base. What bothers me in the new one is that i detect sometimes a plastic note at the opening that i cannot stand. M7 gets a lot of hype around here but i would not recommend it for the younger crowd unless you really like it. (I do like the dry down though). if you like it you can get away with it and carry it with confidence; otherwise I would go with .
