As a general rule, I'd say 36mm is somewhat small for your size wrist. I have about the same size wrist and I recently got a bit obsessed with the 36mm Datejust - they look fabulous in photos. But when I tried a few on at the AD, it just didn't work, it was *tiny*. Yes, the 36 is a much better size for the dress watch.
